Maybe it's just me

Every time there’s an odd noise in the computer lab, some student or other half stands up to see what happened. They quickly look around, and then sit down so they won’t get into trouble. With their heads popping above the monitors that way, quickly looking for trouble and then disappearing, I can’t help but feel I’ve ended up in the middled of a colony of gophers.
