Why use tech tools in the class?

I like playing with computers and the Internet in my classes whenever I can. This slide, though it’s not my own, gives some idea why I find it so fascinating. With computers there are just so many more possibilities.

    I’m a big fan of the slide, “I will use a laptop and you will use a text book”.

    Time to go get that tattoo I’ve been dreaming about.

    But, if I had the text book, I would wait until my opponent was immersed in the computer and then, with his head buried in the monitor, I’d chuck the text book at him.

    Ka-plop!

    And now, I’ve got the computer.

    I’m a winner every time.

    It’s not about the tool; it’s how it’s used.
